Midgetaway

Midget.
Getaway.
Midgetaway.

When discussing prejudice and discrimination, the little person is often overlooked.

Some view "midget" as a slur* that we should get away from using.**

Though Herve Villechaize (one of the biggest little people) actually preferred the word.

But then, he also tried to kill James Bond, so perhaps his opinions aren't the most laudable.

Tattoo.
Toodles.
Tattoodles.

At least one thing is clear: bigotry against the small makes no sense.
(And neither does smallotry against the big.)

So we all need to be bigger people about this.
Because if we're not bigger, then what's to stop this small-minded bigotry from being aimed at us as well?

* A "slur" is so named because of the frequency with which it is uttered in the slurred speech of the drunk or otherwise mentally incapacitated.

Drunk.
Unkind.
Drunkind.

** And if my use of it in this discussion here has offended you, please accept this self-directed slur to even things out:

Kike.
Ikea.
Kikea.

Where my people shop for furniture.
