Childrendezvous

Children.
Rendezvous.
Childrendezvous.

I met a new person today.
A baby.*

I don't feel as though she really met me, though.

Her mother did all the talking for her: "This is the baby."
I tried to directly engage: "Hi, baby. I'm an adult."

She seemed bored or asleep.
Like she wasn't even interested in what I had to say.

Nice attitude, baby.

Newborn.
Ornery.
Newbornery.

Maybe I should have tried to highlight what we had in common, rather than our differences.

Like, I used to be a baby also.

Begin.
Infant.

Oh well, I'll know better for the next baby.

* Not completely new, but with only three weeks of wear and tear so far.

Snoopsie

Snoop.
Oopsie.
Snoopsie.

Accidentally going through your own things instead of spying on someone else.

Especially painful when you learn from your own diary that you hate yourself.

Danger.
Journal.
Danjernal.*

Or, when Mr. Doggie Dogg goes on the rug.
For which gets hit on the nose with a rolled-up paper.
Which he then smokes.

Paper.
Purpose.
Papurpose.

Artifiction

Artificial.
Fiction.
Artifiction.

Ever meet anyone whose personality seems so fake that you're positive it must be, but then you learn that that fake-seeming personality is actually who they are?

Phony.
Only.
Phonly.

Or have you met anyone who seems so genuine that you don't even consider the possibility that it's not who they really are, but then you end up homeless in a ditch?

Worse.
Sewer.
Worsewer.

Or have you ever met someone with multiple personalities, where one of them seems phony and the other one seems genuine, and you never know which one you're making out with?
